We are recruiting for an Assistant Contracts Manager (PT / FT Opportunity)
This role is a great opportunity for a student or graduate of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Retain Solutions is a specialist subcontractor based in Belfast that provides a design, supply, and installation package service for a range of Retaining Wall Systems throughout the UK & Ireland.
Assistant Contracts Manager Job Role:
- To follow and learn from the current Contracts Manager by reading construction drawings, estimating quantities of materials needed, chasing live projects for updates, and measuring materials on site.
- Full Time or Part Time role, (flexible around studying for the right candidate)
- Company laptop provided
- Competitive rate of pay
- Must be enrolled on or a recent graduate of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying course
- Onsite experience is desirable but not essential
- CSR card is desirable but not essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up job files (hard copy & cloud form)
- Help produce as-builts (measurements on site etc.)
- Help maintain the current Excel Database for tenders/jobs priced
- Contacting Clients for updates on jobs tendered/priced
- Be able to read and measure from construction drawings & BoQ’s
- Be able to use Microsoft Excel
- Be familiar with AutoCAD 2D (Basics)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Driving Licence/means of transport desirable but not essential
- Have good communication skills
- Have attention to detail
- Be motivated to learn new skills
- Be dependable, reliable, and responsible
- Recently qualified or enrolled in a suitable construction degree
